As a Peruvian, I can honestly say this is some of the most authentic Peruvian food I’ve had in the U.S. The flavors are exactly how they should be, and everything tasted fresh and homemade. It’s not easy to find Peruvian food that reminds me of home, but this place absolutely does. The staff and owner were incredibly kind and welcoming, and they were more than happy to accommodate modifications to our dishes without any issues. The service made us feel right at home. I highly recommend this place to not only anyone looking for authentic, Peruvian cuisine, but also anybody who is yearning for a downright delicious food experience. You won’t be disappointed!

As a Peruvian, I always have high expectations when trying Peruvian restaurants, and this place truly impressed me. We started with the Tiradito de Tuna Nikkei, which was absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. We finished with two amazing dishes: The Pescado a lo Macho, full of rich seafood flavors, and the Seco de Carne, tender and packed with authentic Peruvian taste. A wonderful experience that made me proud of our cuisine. 🇵🇪

★★★★★ A Peruvian Gem in Northwood Meztizo is exactly the kind of spot that makes exploring West Palm Beach’s up-and-coming Northwood district worth it. Tucked into this revitalized neighborhood, the restaurant brings serious Peruvian flavor without any pretense. We started with the tequeños de lomo saltado — crispy, golden, and stuffed with tender lomo saltado filling that somehow makes an already great dish even better as a shareable bite. Incredible way to kick things off. For mains, the tacu lomo was a standout: the classic tacu tacu rice-and-bean cake done right, paired with juicy lomo saltado on top — hearty, comforting, and packed with flavor in every bite. We also tried the pollo nikkei, and the Peruvian-Japanese fusion really shines here — perfectly cooked chicken with that signature nikkei sauce balancing savory, tangy, and a little umami depth. The space has a warm, unfussy vibe that matches the neighborhood’s energy right now — casual enough for a weeknight dinner but the food quality punches well above that. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the pisco sour program alone is worth the visit. Northwood has been quietly turning into one of the more interesting food corridors in West Palm, and Meztizo is a big reason why. Great option if you want authentic Peruvian cooking that doesn’t cut corners. Already planning my next visit to work through more of the menu.

I had the Lomo Saltado and the Pollo Saltado and both were amazing. The meat was tender, the flavors were rich, and everything tasted very fresh. The fries mixed with the sauce and rice were perfect. The pollo saltado was also super well seasoned and cooked just right. Definitely one of the best Peruvian meals I’ve had. I’ll be coming back for sure! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you’re craving authentic Peruvian food, this place is an absolute gem! The food here is hands down the best Peruvian cuisine in Palm Beach County. We tried the creamy chicken Nikkei, and it had the most explosive flavors! truly unlike anything I’ve ever had before. It was absolutely amazing! The lomo saltado was also top notch. I usually don’t even like lomo saltado, but this one completely changed my mind. What really made the experience even better was the outstanding service. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home. You can truly tell that everything is made with care and quality ingredients. I can’t wait to come back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for incredible Peruvian food!
