The night started off weird as we had an issue with.the valet, but the manager quick responded to address it, assuring us it should not and would not happen again. We chose to sit inside as our friends suggested the main outdoor area can get very loud, making conversation difficult. Service was spotty, I had to ask for a glass of ice 3 times and he disappeared towards the end of the meal, as he got busy attending tables outside. It is a small menu with limited options. We started with the mussels and Mediterranean dip. It was very nice but served with a cold whole pita which everyone needs to touch and tear apart. I ordered the steak and frites ( substituting a salad over frites) which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Hubs and another had the flat iron chicken which was very moist, but charred which is not only carcinogenic but bitter in taste which I did not enjoy and would not have eaten. Our friend had the lamb chops which she ordered medium but they came rare but tasted good. We ordered the soufflé and affogato for dessert. The young lady drops off the small dish of vanilla ice cream with the soufflé but no espresso. The soufflé was cold and undercooked. It took awhile for our server to return, and he brought out the espresso which might have sat outside the whole time as it wasn’t even hot…our waiter never returned, so we still ate it but it wasn’t as good.. A few notes which took away from our experience was the service, cold/undercooked dishes, and the chicken entree lacking as they serve fries but no veggies unless you order carrots or cauliflower at $20? They also charged $12 for water. Not the best experience.

I love the Blue Door. The food is prepared with the best ingredients and I love simple Mediterranean food. Owner is always on top of every detail and service is experienced and well prepared. The bar is beautiful and the barman prepares excellent cocktails. I usually go on Sundays when they offer the best roasted Chicken. It comes with delicious home made French fries and a delicious fresh and organic lettuce salad that feeds 4 people easily. Pavlova and chocolate souflle were delicious too Bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I’ll keep coming to the Blue Door

I went to The Blue Door tonight in West Palm Beach on Dixie Highway for dinner. I’ve been here about five or six times now. Almost every time I’ve sat at the bar; only once did I eat inside. The majority of the seating is outdoors, both at tables and at the bar, and there is only a very small indoor area. Tonight the weather was very nice, so sitting outside or at the bar was perfect. That said, for patrons thinking of coming on a very hot evening, it’s worth knowing that indoor seating is limited. If you really want to sit inside, it’s probably a good idea to call ahead and request indoor seating. The bar is fairly large and probably seats around 16 people. There are plenty of bartenders, so service is consistently good. I didn’t catch the name of my bartender tonight, but he was attentive and did a very good job. It’s important to note that every time I have been here I have found the waiters to be on the ball and knowledgeable about the menu items. Tonight, I ordered the heirloom tomato salad and the spaghetti with clams. The salad had chunks of flavorful heirloom tomatoes, a bit of avocado, some herbs, hearts of palm, and a few Kalamata olives. It was a nicely sized portion and very tasty. It would have been even better with a tiny bit more avocado and olives. The spaghetti with clams was good, though the pasta was not as al dente as I would have preferred. They gave me exactly 21 small clams, which I think is generous. The issue wasn’t the clams, but the pasta portion itself, which is not large. I’m fine with that because I don’t usually take food home, but many people like to have leftovers, and pasta is one of those dishes that often tastes even better the next day. The clam sauce was good—maybe even very good—but not exceptional. It felt like it was missing something, perhaps a bit more garlic for better balance. To be specific my food rating for Blue Door is 4.7. That’s the average for all the times I’ve dined here. I usually order the tuna carpaccio, which is excellent, and I often get the flat iron chicken, which is a generous portion, tasty, and very healthy. The vibe at this mostly outdoor restaurant is hip. Even when it’s packed, you can still talk comfortably with the bartenders and hear the conversations next to you. Despite being full, it’s still easy to carry on a conversation with the people you’re with. Bottom line: I always enjoy coming here, and I have no hesitation in recommending it. Please note that the picture of the heirloom tomato salad was taken after I had already devoured a bit of it.

Exceeded our expectations. Last minute decision to dine out on a Sunday evening with our son. The restaurant is in our neighborhood but we hadn’t visited it yet. The service was exceptional and food very good. My son had octopus which was grilled, a little crispy and tender how he likes it with a side of French fries cooked in beef marrow. My wife had mussels as an appetizer and then clams with spaghetti. I wanted something simple and had the wild grilled prawns with roasted potatoes. We were so full that we ended up sharing one of the best chocolate soufflés I have ever had. Our server Brittney was attentive, we asked a lot questions and never felt rushed. The manager Dionne was very gracious and you could feel that it was important to her that our food and dinning experience great.

Went for anniversary dinner. Food was awesome. I enjoyed my branzino, my husband had prawns. We shared a side of potatoes , and if you love dessert please get the pistachio gelato with the pudding, omg I died and went to heaven. Portions are shareable so keep this in mind. Drinks are good. We went at night it was an intimate setting white table cloth. Severs were attentive, managers all came to ask if you are okay. Will be back for sure.
