I had such a great experience at Maman! I was visiting from Florida State University, and this spot made my trip even better. John, the barista, absolutely blew me away—his latte art was unreal. He made a swan, a Seminole head (which I loved as an FSU student!), and even a cute little teddy bear. It was almost too pretty to drink, and you can tell he genuinely cares about what he does. Anna at the counter was just as amazing. She was so friendly and super knowledgeable about all the pastries—she gave great recommendations and made the whole experience feel really welcoming. Between the stunning drinks, delicious pastries, and standout service, I loved it here and will definitely be coming back whenever I’m visiting West Palm again!

I am generally averse to chain bakeries. Maman proves to be a rare exception. Quality is impressive, especially in laminated pastries and considering the context of a prolific array of constantly-alternating pastries. Not a big fan of South Florida for its scathing, abrasive unkindness, flourishing snobism and Instagram fanaticism; but it is the new Beverly Hills, the [newly] affluent culture hub of America, and Maman is nestled amidst it but still maintains an air of comfort escapism. Solid kouign amanns, though I wish they would lean harder onto the Maillard reaction; and the cinnamon-roll twist is clever, surprisingly light and fluidly compatible. But the highlight of all highlights, which also garners my sole critique, was the transcendental lavender blueberry brioche wave. Beyond my wildest expectations, it was breathtakingly perfect, among the most delicately lovely laminated pastries I have ever tried. Sheer perfection of balanced flavors breathing soft, Parisian life into its elegant, nuanced, crispy shell. And there lies my sole critique. I admire most business frameworks that stay loyal to their ideology; rather than adhere to fads, in this case FOMO. Maman, like innumerable other businesses, relies on the law of scarcity relative to demand, rotating seasonal goods (clever idea, in line with the four seasons); but the casualty of this model is the fleeting nature and subsequent disappearance of immaculate pastries that should never fade out of circulation. Adhering to FOMO is a business model that inherently favors profit margins and pop psychology over maintained superlative quality or mature audience loyalty, with hits and misses bound to replace one another as the tides come and turn. That is part of assimilating to and abiding by pop culture; it emboldens strategy over invaluable rarified air; in turn becoming a dime a dozen, rather than existing in rarified air of authenticity and innovation. I have a lot of respect and love for this establishment. I only wish it offered more individualism and constancy in a world already so direly plagued by kiasu and a lack of attention span. Consider this my long-winded, flattering way of expressing that some fleeting treasures should never... fleet. As waves come and go, this wave should have never left. And this high-praise intertwined with critique will surely repeat itself, so long as the business framework is less Sucré Table or Arsicault or Vicente or Nancy Silverton and more... Crumbl or Paris Baguette or, well, chain.

I recently visited Maman for brunch, and it was such a charming experience. The moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, stylish, and relaxed—like a little escape. The space has this breezy, coastal energy that almost gives off Florida vacation vibes, with light colors, cozy seating, and a welcoming feel that makes you want to linger. The food was excellent and clearly made with care. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It’s the kind of place where even simple brunch dishes feel elevated. The menu has a great mix of sweet and savory options, so whether you’re in the mood for something indulgent or something lighter, there’s plenty to choose from. What really stood out was how enjoyable the entire brunch experience felt. It’s perfect for a slow morning with friends, a casual date, or even just treating yourself. The environment is cute without feeling overly trendy, and the quality of the food easily matches the aesthetic. Overall, Maman is the kind of brunch spot that leaves a lasting impression. Between the delicious food, relaxed Florida-like vibe, and cozy atmosphere, it’s a place I would happily return to again and again. If you’re looking for a brunch spot that feels both stylish and genuinely enjoyable, this is definitely one to try. 🌴☕🥐

We had a great breakfast experience at Maman. The food was excellent, but what really made our visit special was the outstanding service from a young man from Guatemala. Unfortunately, we didn’t get his name, but he was friendly, attentive, professional, and made us feel very welcome throughout our visit. His positive attitude and excellent customer service truly stood out.

4th Maman location we visit and it’s always excellent. This one in West Palm Beach is located in a nice area, with indoor and outdoor seating. Their menu is always good and honestly there isn’t an item there that doesn’t hold up to high standards of breakfast/brunch cuisine. The croissant with salmon and the croque madam are favorites, though.
