Piknik by Chef Christophe: French Sandwiches From a Michelin-Trained Chef
On North Military Trail in Palm Beach Gardens, Piknik brings classic French sandwich-shop cooking to a casual daytime counter, led by Chef Christophe Bozzano, who began his culinary apprenticeship in France at age thirteen.
A Chef's Résumé Behind a Casual Counter
Before opening Piknik, Christophe ran a Michelin-guide-listed restaurant in France and spent decades working as a private chef. That background shows up in the shop's straightforward, ingredient-driven approach: the name Piknik reflects his philosophy that "food holds memories and feelings," built from childhood memories of family meals and gathering around good food.
A Menu Built on French Staples
The sandwich list reads like a Parisian charcuterie counter, with a Parisian ham-and-butter sandwich, Saucisson Beurre, and a Pâté de Campagne with Dijon and cornichons, alongside a tuna Pan Bagnat and a Napoli with prosciutto and arugula. Salads include a classic Niçoise and a beet salad with roasted chicken and goat cheese, while the pastry case rounds things out with croissants, pain au chocolat, pain au raisin, and eclairs in flavors like chocolate, vanilla, coffee, and mango passion fruit.
