I’ve passed by The Hive many times. This was the first time I stopped in. I looked it up on Google Maps and it sounded interesting. My wife, mother and I went for a weekday lunch and totally enjoyed the experience. My wife had the Fried clams basket served with cole slaw ($17.00). It was a good size portion of fried clams My mother had the Fish Parmesan served over pasta ($18.00). It was a large piece of fish and a large portion of pasta. I had the Fried Shrimp basket served with cole slaw and french fries ($17.00). It came with four large shrimp. It was the smallest of our meals but I would order it again (I did have a little of my mother’s meal. All three meals were on the Thursday Daily Buzz menu. We sat outside with a view of the lake. Our server was friendly and efficient. The two bars were busy. I would come back to eat again or just to have drinks at the bar.
Love this place. Visiting from Miami. Found online, visited, ambiance, service and the live music was awesome. Went back 4 times. The prices are definitely good at least compared to what I’m use to paying in Miami. Loved that I can connect to the jukebox and play some Latin music while I was there as well. It was fun and it is a very large tiki hut and you have the option inside if you’d like the AC highly recommend.
The Hive is an amazing waterfront spot with a great atmosphere and even better food. The chicken wings are absolutely incredible—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and some of the best I’ve had. The loaded fries are just as impressive, packed with toppings and full of flavor. If you haven’t been here yet, I highly recommend checking it out. Great food, great vibes, and a perfect place to relax by the water. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to!
Have been there a few times but this time we weren’t that pleased. Ask for shot of tequila (had a bug in it) and they charged me $11(it was happy hour). Also asked for dessert to bring home and the apple (which also cost $11) was smashed & looked small (see photo), key lime pie was also small ($11).
Good place to dock your boat and eat some food when around Lake Ida. Plates are big. I recommend the Philly Cheesesteaks. Kids loved the Mac N Cheese!
