Julian was amazing, attentive and friendly. He made great recommendations. The food and drinks were awesome and the vibe was so chill. Live band and eccentric decor. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Worth the drive.

We had such a great experience at Voodoo Bayou! Riley, our waiter, was amazing, super friendly, gave awesome recommendations, and checked on us often without ever being overbearing. You can tell he genuinely cares about the experience. Another waitress, Kayla, even stopped by to say hello and make sure we were doing well, which made it feel so warm and welcoming, like you’re hanging out in someone’s living room in the best way. For food, we started with the biscuits, which were SO good, and the wood fired chili butter oysters that Riley recommended. The oysters were honestly one of the most delicious things I’ve had in a long time. For our mains, I had the jambalaya and my boyfriend got the Cajun carbonara, and both were incredible. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food and even better service!

As first timers from Seattle we were very well taken care of and pleased with the food! Cass as our server was attentive , detailed and very welcoming. I believe the man in the nice suit was a manager and he as well was amazing to service us. Food was so good we didn’t want to wait for it to cool down. Oysters were raw how we like it, and Wednesday special! Gator tail for the first time and it did not disappoint here! I got a burger and so delicious you could taste detail and love in it! Thank you Cass & Voodoo! Now we begin our hunt for Iguana and croc sitings 🥰✨

Came here for a birthday and it turned out to be a great experience. For drinks, we had the mocktail blackberry lemonade and the black magic lemonade, both were really good. We started with the hickory smoked chicken wings and raw oysters. The wings were great and I liked that the sauce came on the side so they stayed nice and crisp, and the rub had a really good flavor. My wife had the oysters and said they were very good. For mains we got the brick oven roasted chicken and the redfish. The roasted chicken was excellent and reminded me of the seasoning from the wings, but the redfish really stood out, especially with the braised green beans it came with. My wife already wants to try recreating that at home. For dessert we had the beignets, and they were some of the best we have had in the area. We could not finish them that night, but they held up great the next day with coffee. The staff was helpful, friendly, and very attentive, and the place has a really nice low light vibe. Definitely a spot worth coming back to.

The atmosphere at Voodoo Bayou is perfect for a great Cajun meal and drinks after exploring the mall. We went on a Saturday afternoon, and lots of couples were there on dates, as well as parents with children. The staff is so friendly and helpful. There's both air conditioning and a ton of outdoor seats, including for the main bar on the ground level. The decorations, low light, and classic rock are highlights. The menu has something for everybody, but I'd say especially if you want some of the best gumbo, shrimp and grits, and jambalaya outside of Louisiana, they're making it here. We're already planning our next visit to catch some of the live bands!
