Phenomenal! If you haven't tried this place yet then you are missing out. Radcliffe's is a little culinary gem hidden away on the side of the Wine Room yet you still take advantage of their enormous wine selection and expensive cheese repertoire. The food was mouth watering and kept surprising us as it came out. The lollipops where one of my top favorites but the custom cheese plate that was made for us was probably #1. Let's not forget the speakeasy vibe, nestled in a little area with only a few tables and bar seats available, they had a live pianist playing at first and then brought in a DJ who played songs that amplified the speakeasy feeling. Now let me tell you the best part.... there's a late night happy hour from 10pm to 2am!! This is perfect for a date night, or just to impress friends or hang out for a flavorful and fun cocktail

I made a reservation for Radcliffe’s Speakeasy more than two weeks in advance for Friday, July 24 at 5:30 PM as a surprise for my wife’s birthday. A few days before, I received an email asking me to reconfirm the reservation. I did so immediately, which gave me every reason to believe our reservation was secure. On the day of the reservation, we left Fort Lauderdale early for the 40-minute drive. I intentionally wouldn’t tell my wife where we were going because I wanted the hidden speakeasy to be part of the surprise. She was genuinely excited. After we were already on the highway, I received a phone call from the restaurant. The employee explained that they had booked the speakeasy for a private event, hadn’t realized there were existing reservations, and were canceling ours. The only solution offered was a table in The Wine Room restaurant. That completely missed the point. I didn’t reserve a standard restaurant table - I specifically reserved the speakeasy experience. If we had wanted dinner in the main dining room, we could have gone almost anywhere. The hidden lounge was the birthday surprise. What makes this especially disappointing is that they had multiple opportunities to catch the mistake. They knew about the private event, yet still sent me a reservation confirmation request just days beforehand, accepted my confirmation, and then waited until we were already driving there to cancel. Birthdays can’t simply be rescheduled on a moment’s notice ON A FRIDAY NIGHT. The evening I had carefully planned was gone before we even arrived. Mistakes happen. But canceling a confirmed reservation at the last minute - after reconfirming it and after customers have already begun a 40-minute drive - is simply unacceptable. I hope they improve their reservation management so someone else’s special occasion isn’t ruined the way ours was.

As we walked in,  I was IMPRESSED! Two different decors at each one, both had different seats - they looked comfy - kind of "laid back" at one and a little more "upscale" at the other. The very back of the restaurant - which is actually called the Wine Room Kitchen & Bar is a glass walled room with different wines from floor to ceiling! It's incredible. I'm not a wine connoisseur, I prefer the Moscatos - sweet & bubbly - so I don't know if that's really considered wine. I drink mostly Verdi. It's a white Moscato. In the back, on the left side is a curtained doorway that leads in to another bar area. This is "Radcliffe's Speakeasy" What a beautiful place! They say there used to be a tunnel from there to the old Colony Hotel. Something was also said about Capone possibly using the tunnels, but who knows for sure? Anyway, off to the left as you walk in there's what looks to me like a gambling area. Not a casino so to speak, but at a glance, looks similar. To the right is  the bar and table area. Dark rich wood lit up from behind and underneath the shelves of liquor bottles. Every kind of liquor you could imagine. They will make anything you want. Even if they don't have the correct liquor, they can come up with something close enough you can barely notice the difference. For instance, they don't carry Coconut Rum. Of any kind. But Taren promised he could make me a drink that would taste just like it had coconut rum in it. He managed to make a drink that tasted exactly like a Pina Colada with a small tang at the end. He used their bar made coconut puree, pineapple juice and white rum. Man, it was really good!

This was an amazing date night experience and our bartender Jake made it even better. His suggestion were on point and let me tell you about the amazing espresso martini AHMAZZZIIIIINNNGGGGH. Bae and I will definitely be back thanks for a wonderful experience.
