A new dinner restaurant on Clematis st. and refreshingly new ambiance and menu. A Swedish influence with pasta, meat and seafood dishes. Excellent service. The homemade focaccia was spectacular and the baked cod was delightful with broccolini. Happy hour 4-6 and DJ late evening until 1am. Large bar and window-side high tops. A welcome sign of things to come in West Palm as restaurants diversify and further upscale.

Exceptional dining experience all around. We will definitely be coming back and be recommending. Service was timely. The food was some of the best we’ve had in WPB. Presentation was on point.

The food and drinks at Waxin’s was not the problem, absolutely delicious and reasonable. This visit, although on the 4th of July, the restaurant was not packed. Our party of 8 was seated in a terribly dark room. Our waitress at first was doing great. We got our food but that took a very long time and didn’t come out all together. After that we didn’t see her . When we tried to find her to remind her of our shot order and to get the bill…at one point she passed right by my friends who tried to talk to her and she blew them off , disappearing near the bar or private room? The only person we could find to do anything was a very pleasant security guard who flagged down the head waitress who took care of us and to her credit gave us a discount on our meals and was polite. But our original waitress had been missing for an hour or more. We could hear them complaining about us behind the curtain between our table and the kitchen. It was the men in our group who complained and somehow the attitudes from waitress were targeted to the women in our group. I will only go back to the bar/front area of clematis location and preferably have a server who is professional and professionally attired for the level of restaurant Waxin’s is. I will go to hooters if that’s the experience I want . Not a prude…it’s just not the right place for that. Also it should be added that the door of the restaurants and flyers from being there the previous week promoted 25% off of their Italian dishes. It took all night to get any answer on that, even though posted on their door and on passed flyers not one person working knew or admitted to knowing about that promotion. Again beautiful restaurant, great food. Maybe some service training needed. Still considering becoming a private member with Stockholm society.

We were planning on a traditional dinner but we ended up sitting at the bar during Happy Hour. We shared a burger & a Caesar salad. Both excellent! Also drank an old fashion and a watermelon mocktail. The old fashion was solid but my date was not completely won over by the watermelon mocktail. The chocolate dome was not our favorite and we would not order it again. The flavors of the individual ingredients did not shine in this combination.

Our experience was unfortunately just average overall. The service was okay, but nothing memorable — there were no recommendations or added touches that made the meal feel special. The food was also average at best. The appetizer was the highlight of the meal and the one dish we truly enjoyed (toast skagen). However, the pasta was disappointing. The sauce leaned a bit too sour, and the steak in the pasta was chewy and seemed to be a lower-quality cut. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but it didn’t meet expectations. We hope the restaurant takes this as constructive feedback, as there’s definitely potential. We had only wonderful dining experience at their PBG location.
