The food was amazing. Reminded me of mom’s homemade food. Take the time and check this place out. Don’t forget to try the bacalaitos (codfish fritters) and the empanadas. It’s a great hidden gem. Keep up the great food and service.

My mom and I have been coming to this restaurant for over two years, and we’ve consistently enjoyed great service and delicious meals. The fried pork chops are amazing and remind me of the kind of home-cooked family meals I grew up with. We especially look forward to their Puerto Rican pasteles, which are excellent and my mom’s absolute favorite. While the restaurant could benefit from some updates, the food and hospitality keep us coming back. Felix, the owner, has always been welcoming, attentive, and genuinely committed to making sure his customers are well taken care of. Thank you, Felix, for your hospitality and for providing such a great dining experience!

My granddaughter wanted to eat pasteles, so I searched Google for a Puerto Rican restaurant. It gave me a few different options, but I chose Isla del Coquí. We ordered alcapurrias, empanadillas, and for the main course, arroz con gandules, lechón, and pasteles. Everything was delicious and the service was phenomenal. We will definitely return to try other dishes; we felt like we were on the island. Thank you, Félix, for your service !!!

My first time getting food from here, I ordered a chicken soup to go with a small side of rice. To my misfortune when I got home the soup didnt have no chicken 😔 , I couldn't go back because I had to be back at work. But the taste of the broth alone was nostalgic to me, it reminded me of when my grandmother would make me soup as a kid.
