4/23/26-- I felt like trying a Mexican restaurant today. While looking through Google Maps, I saw this place had café con leche, and that was enough to convince me. I texted the man of the house, and off we went—about a 7-minute drive. I was watching the clock like a hawk because I was coming out of intermittent fasting since yesterday at 3 pm, so this meal mattered. I picked this place for two reasons: it didn’t look too Americanized, Expresso machine and it had that mom-and-pop feel. From the outside, I liked what I saw—a medium-sized restaurant, simple and inviting. We were seated quickly in a booth near the bathrooms. Small note: if you have back issues, those booths are not very forgiving. My husband was not impressed with the padding situation. They do have an espresso machine (I forgot to take a picture), and the coffee was actually very good. Also, I liked that they don’t automatically bring water unless you ask—less waste, more intention. My husband ordered the shrimp soup, but it wasn’t his favorite. I had the carne asada, and I really liked the beans. The empanadas were made with yellow corn instead of flour—not my personal favorite, but still good. Aside from this, the service and the food were great. Even what my husband ordered—I tried it and actually liked it, but food is subjective to everyone’s palate. The chips, the guacamole, and the empanadas (which are a good size and come in four) can fill you up quickly, so keep that in mind. Overall, I did enjoy it here… except for one thing. Now here comes the part that made me pause. I am gonna preface this with : it might something it might not! just be aware. A few minutes into lunch, I noticed something moving on the ceiling. A camera. At first, I thought it was just a normal security camera doing its robotic sweep. But the movement didn’t feel fully robotic—it felt… guided. Yes, it would move when people walked by or when staff passed, which makes sense. But then it kept returning to one table—a family with several minors. And that’s where it got uncomfortable. The family was just sitting there, not moving much, not doing anything unusual. Yet the camera kept pointing back at them, almost like it was watching them specifically. I kept observing for a while (yes, I turned into a detective for a moment), and it didn’t feel random. At one point, it turned toward us while we were just sitting, so I even waved—like, “hello, is someone there?” Then it went right back to that family and we were sitting way in the back so that didn't make sense. Maybe it’s motion-activated. Maybe it’s automated. Or maybe it’s remotely controlled—I honestly can’t say. But it did not feel like simple motion tracking. I don’t want to jump to conclusions, but I also don’t want to ignore what felt off. I know cameras, I have a business with cameras. It felt off this camera at this place. Either this camera is extremely advanced… or someone is a control freak to the max. Either way, I did not like how it moved. Just be aware. And whatever you do, don’t sit at the big table near the windows—the one with the camera right on top of it. Maybe it’s nothing. Maybe it’s just technology doing its thing. But sometimes your instincts notice things before your mind explains them. And this one… didn’t sit right with me. If you don't mind then, seat by the camera just know you are being watch. I am all for security and watching employees and all but this camera movement felt off a little too off for my comfort. and the two stars are for the atmosphere : camera!

Authentic and refreshing. It’s great to have a true Mexican-style restaurant here in Jupiter. The staff is genuinely welcoming, and the artwork throughout the space creates a unique, memorable atmosphere. Everything tastes like it’s made from scratch—from the tortillas to the sauces—and you can tell there’s real care in every dish. The horchata is the real deal, fresh and perfectly balanced, not overly sweet. The food is outstanding.

My wife has been wanting to take me here for months. She had gone with a group of friends and RAVED about the food. So after a kayaking trip at a park close by, she finally had the chance to take me there. We noticed it was not busy at the time and immediately got a seat. Our server came and drinks were ordered. My wife a diet coke, and I a MEGA MICHILADA! The diet coke is what it is, the MEGA MICHILADA, was a whopping liter of beer with tomato juice and spices, topped with what looked like a pound of shrimp. It was good! My wife ordered a steak burrito, and I a trio of tacos (carnitas,carne Melina, and all pastor). I did not take pictures of the food for some reason. Needless to say, all of the food was great. The tacos (only soft corn, and served with cilantro and onion, THE ONLY WAY TACOS SHOULD BE SERVED) came with rice and beans. This is a must I get this at all Mexican restaurants, because if you can't do the simple things, how do you think the other food will be? The rice was meh, but the beans were the perfect texture. Nice and smooth with the right amount of un-pureed beans. They were also topped with a wonderfully salted cheese (I guess cotija?). It provided a pop of flavor that is stored in my minds flavor bank. Overall we will be back. The prices were fair, the service good, and the food is authentic.

Shrimp burrito bowl is absolutely incredible! So fresh and tasty, delighted I stopped here for lunch.
