Amar sandwich shop is quite literally the definition of hole in the wall. If you walk by too fast or look across the street while walking then you’ll completely miss it. And that will be your loss because it’s one of my favorite gems I’ve stumbled upon on Atlantic ave. I would never go to a restaurant with this type of food but I was drawn in by friendly smiles and a terrific smell of food. Diana was at the counter and was extremely helpful, I didn’t know what anything on the menu was but she was very helpful, friendly, and patient while guiding me through the menu and with the ordering process. And the food is 10/10, I got a cheese wrap and added beef and I’ve never had such an amazing flavorbomb go off in my mouth. I can’t recommend this place enough!!

Place is an excellent casual option on the ave. Have had several of the menu items and everything is top-tier delicious. Great falafel and great shawarma sandwiches!!!

Second visit was a solid 5 star experience. Got a shawarma bowl with hummus and rice and was thoroughly impressed. Thank you Amar. Keep up the good work. _________________________ New shawarma spot, tasted decent, but I felt heavy for the 6 hours that followed even though I didn't even go crazy which I normally do when I find a new spot. Shawarma 3/5 dense and good, but the flavors although authentic are going to throw off a lot of the locals that have a simple palette, and are used to eating food that has not been seasoned properly. Hummus 5/5 very good Tabouleh 3/5 decent Fries 3/5 again not bad, but might be previously frozen. Overall I enjoyed my meal, and I might come back.
