I wish we would have gone to this restaurant the first night of our trip here so we could have gone back every day. This was a fantastic experience. The ambiance was quiet and welcoming. The server Sarah was helpful and kind, and continued to answer my questions as to the different dipping sauces. We had hummus with the best pita of our lives. The brussel sprouts. The grilles veggies and all of this was so tasty. My son loved the lamb chops and the rice. My husband I enjoyed the chicken kabobs. The bathroom was clean. The waters were full and we just had the most amazing dinner. Thank you for ending our trip with such a great meal.

Amar is a beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere, and the food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish we ordered was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Unfortunately, the service did not reflect the quality of the restaurant. Our waitress was not very friendly, interrupted us while we were talking, and made us feel rushed throughout the meal. It was disappointing because the food and ambiance were truly exceptional. I would definitely return for the food, but I hope the service improves, as it would make the overall experience much more enjoyable.

Flawless evening. We shared a variety of items and each was amazing…in fact we started with the lentil salad which was so gorgeous I took a photo. I had planned to capture the rest of the meal but when it arrived I was so excited that I forgot to photograph it for memory. That’s the highest compliment you can receive. The branzino was the star of the show, and my husband would have agreed with me, until the 8:00 arrival of the belly dancer who stole took first place from the branzino in his mind. Heads up to those looking at reviews before you “try” a new spot…if you think Applebee’s and Olive Garden are a great date night- this is not your restaurant.

This place absolutely blew me away. From the moment the food hit the table, you could tell everything was made with care, intention, and serious culinary skill. We started with a spread of dips and they were exceptional. The hummus was silky smooth with rich olive oil and perfectly balanced seasoning, and the labneh was fresh, creamy, and bright with herbs and tomatoes. Even the baba ghanoush had that deep, smoky flavor that’s hard to get right. Every bite felt authentic and thoughtfully prepared. The mains took things to another level. The grilled chicken was incredibly juicy with a beautiful char and bold, aromatic spices. The beef was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, paired with roasted vegetables that added just the right amount of sweetness and texture. The fish dish was also standout, delicate and flaky with a rich, creamy topping that complemented it perfectly without overpowering it. The sides weren’t an afterthought either. The rice was fragrant and elevated with nuts and herbs, and even the simple accompaniments like pickles, onions, and radishes added freshness and balance to the meal. On top of all that, the presentation was clean and inviting, and everything felt generous without being overwhelming. You can tell this kitchen knows exactly what it’s doing. If you’re looking for incredibly flavorful, well-executed Middle Eastern food with a modern touch, this spot is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I visited Amar for a special occasion with some girlfriends, and it was fantastic! The restaurant was beautiful, the food was amazing, and the service was great. We shared a bunch of dishes, and everything was so good. I especially loved the hummus and the fresh-made pita. The drinks were fantastic too — they use fresh-squeezed juice in the cocktails, which was a great touch. There was even a belly dancer, which was so fun to watch. Highly recommend if you’re in the Del Ray area!
