BLUF: You’ll grow old waiting on your food, even if you call ahead, but dang if it ain’t worth it! Slow, slow, slow, SLOW service. I don’t know how they make money putting out a plate every 10 minutes. But DANG this food is good! People seem nice. Service can be unpredictable (except for the slowness. That’s predictable). Lots of varieties of drinks plus a bar. Food is RICH, and I haven’t EVER been sorry that I stopped here. Oxtail is the best IMO. Curry goat a close second. Mac&cheese has flavor (as does everything). One of those places you really can’t go wrong. Just don’t be in a hurry.

Being the only one in the place, I enjoyed the service. The food (goat, rice and bean, cabbage, and string beans) was plentiful for a small plate, warm and flavorful. The atmosphere had an old dance hall vibe where food was ordered, served up and eaten more or less at a counter. I'd go back to try their other dishes. Very clean. If you are local, go support them. If you are passing through, drive slow and turn in. They are open until 9pm.

Normally the food is pretty decent but I had to upload these pictures for their lack of empathy. I showed the lady behind the counter the pictures from a few nights prior and she offered to take $4 off the purchase of a new plate. Yes, that's an EARWIG (most often referred to as a "DEVIL"). In their defense, the plate was purchased near closing-time. There wasn't many items availible for purchase at the moment.

Oh my God, what wonderful food. We ordered the Oxtail and it was splendid. The meat melted in your mouth. The seasonings exploded with flavor. Do yourself a favor and stop by to try it. The service was very friendly. I will be back whenever I am around here.
