Caesars salad and arugula’s salad were amazing. Top pizzas: 1. Pepperoni w honey, amazing. 2. Pineapple and tocino (but needed more of those) 3. Meatballs. Ok 4. Ranch. Ok. Really good service. Thanks to Nicholas :)

We tried Beach Club in Delray, the fairly new restaurant next to Johnny Brown’s. Having lived in Delray for 30 years, I’ve seen many restaurants come and go in this exact location, but I think this place has what it needs to stick around. . We went for happy hour and arrived around 5:00 pm. The bar was completely full, so we were seated at a table. That meant we were not eligible for the free happy hour pizza (bar seating only), but we were still able to order drinks at happy hour prices. Despite the bar being packed, the rest of the restaurant was fairly empty, yet it was already quite loud. I imagine that when the whole place is full, it may be difficult to hold a conversation. That said, this is common with many busy restaurants. The service, however, was very good. Our server, Marina, was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. She guided us through the menu with a smile and a great attitude throughout the meal. She is clearly an asset to the restaurant and the business. Food-wise, there were some strong positives. Overall taking the food quality, and portions into account I would give it a food rating of 4.6. The following is what we ordered: Chicken cutlet appetizer was very large portion and very tasty, served with a lemon wedge. Arugula salad was simple but excellent, with a perfect amount of candied pecans, grated Parmesan, and a lemon vinaigrette. Also a very large portion. We quickly realized that combining the chicken cutlet with the salad made for an especially good pairing. We also ordered the “Famous Ray” pizza. It had a thin tasty crust, it was on the cheesy side , and very good overall. I personally would have liked a bit more marinara, but still it was definitely a very good pizza . Additionally, we ordered the rigatoni with spicy vodka sauce, prosciutto, Parmesan, and basil. The pasta itself was well cooked (nicely al dente). However, I didn’t find the sauce spicy, it leaned overly cheesy, and I didn’t detect any noticeable pieces of prosciutto. Still good, but the sauce felt unbalanced and heavy. Portion sizes across the board are generous. Two people could easily share just the arugula salad and the chicken cutlet appetizer and be satisfied. Overall, I’d say this place is definitely better than an Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza type restaurant : larger portions, better food quality, and a more hip atmosphere with a mix of younger and more upscale clientele. I also had a glass of Masciarelli Montepulciano, which was quite good and priced at $7 during happy hour. This is definitely a great place for a casual dinner in a cool atmosphere with nice portions of comfort food and nice friendly service . I would not hesitate to recommend it.

We went as a party of six with a reservation on a Saturday night. Place was very busy and photos looked delicious. Unfortunately we were let down. The hot honey pizza, the burrata toast, and the Brussels sprouts were excellent! The branzino, chicken cutlet, octopus and pastas fell short of expectations. The octopus especially was shocking how much octopus it didn’t contain in the dish. Had the tiniest slivers of maybe like a half a tentacle & drenched in sauce so you couldn’t tell. I’ll attach a photo below. Disappointing for the price. The gnocchi was also not good. The pizza was much better than our other dishes though so definitely would go back just for that and vibes. The drinks were decent, I really enjoyed the strawberry puree one with vodka. Overall, Nothing spectacular but a decent addition to the Delray Ave scene. Also an interesting order concept for them. You put a piece of paper up at the table for the waiter to come over and then you order by marking a paper menu with what you want. Waiters feel more like food runners here and I’d say their tips reflect that.

Came into beach club tonight and had a key lime martini that Abe recommended it was amazing! Then i told him i don’t normally like the margaritas here but he said he could make me a good one and he did! It was amazing!! Definitely recommend checking Beach Club out and ask for Ave as your bartender.
