McCarthy’s Pub in Tequesta is an absolute gem. Owner Michael Huddleston has truly created something special here. The prime rib was outstanding—perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful—served with an Oven-baked potato, asparagus, and a classic Caesar salad that complemented it beautifully. Before the meal even began, a bread basket with fresh scones was brought to the table, which was such a delightful touch. The espresso martinis with Bailey’s were phenomenal—smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. The chicken pot pie was superb, packed with incredible flavor and truly melted in your mouth with every bite. Comfort food at its finest. To top it all off, the entertainment by TKM and Company; The Soul of Motown featuring international recording artists Troy McCray, Merv Thompson, & T. Hatcher was extraordinary, making the entire evening memorable and fun. From the food to the drinks to the atmosphere and live music, everything was exceptional. New owner Michael is truly gracious and grateful to his patrons and repeated customers. This is now my go to place. It is such a comfortable environment with the bar and TVs on one side and the divided dining area and stage on the other. It’s the perfect layout. The food and different types of music performers never disappoint. Michael is so accommodating and what a voice! You can hear a pin drop when he sings. Don’t miss out😉 oh, and the prices are truly reasonable, which is one of the most important things going out these days and the portions are very generous.

So I’m not sure where to be getting here. I first visited this pub three years ago when I first arrived in Florida and I was ecstatic that I could have found a true Irish pub with authentic food.. The service was incredible and so was my dining experience. Please keep in mind. I have done reviewing on several restaurants all over the United States over the last decade.. I just recently revisited this pub after I knew new ownership had taken over and there are no words to explain the disappointment in my experience. The bartender Michael has been there for years and it was so inviting to see her familiar face. However the place was entirely empty. There’s a disco ball with apparently a karaoke night. The menu has completely changed and now serves itself better as a sports pub versus an Irish pub the Chef with no insults is nothing like what was there the food was deplorable at Best if I’m giving my fair opinion and I would say to anyone do not pay attention to any reviews that you’ve seen previous to this because it is not the same establishment.. I thought about having to leave this review since yesterday and I’m at a complete loss. There is nothing on the menu that was on there. There is no one in this facility that used to be there. It was a community gathering spot for many people who enjoyed not only the cuisine but the Service that has been available to them for many years. I can say to you that with all due respect, the Chef is not what it used to be and nothing is like it used to be, and I would say to you do not go to this establishment that considers itself to be an Irish pub which is not even close. Please sell This Place back to someone who knows what an Irish pub is about and get out of town and go back to California. You do not belong here and you’ve lost all your business.

My finance and I had an amazing time at McGuire’s! The live entertainer was amazing, our food was great, and our service was top of the line. Shout out to Camilo for the amazing hospitality! Would recommend to anyone who makes their way down to Panama City.

Mike and team hosted an 80 person pre wedding rehearsal dinner. The overall experience was excellent, the planning was easy with an open exchange of ideas, give and take, the staff worked with us to set up and decorate the room, drinks were great, food was fresh, hot, tasty, looked good, always restocked and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend McCarthy's!
