Three words: A MAZ ING. So many gluten free options, super knowledgeable and friendly staff (they always ask if I want gluten free because it’s a preference, allergy, or celiac!), they don’t use seed oils, and have big portions. My husband and I usually order more than we can finish because we just love everything so much. I don’t have many pictures because we get too excited and eat everything so fast. The masala dosa (not pictured unfortunately) is absolutely to-die-for. Great drink selection too! To sum up, Ela is, without a doubt, the best restaurant in Florida.

Had dinner at Ela Curry and honestly such a good experience. We sat outside and the weather was perfect for an outdoor dinner moment, super relaxing and just really nice vibes overall. I got the beef short ribs and they were incredibly flavorful and tender. One of my friends got the butter chicken and no joke, it was probably some of the best chicken I’ve had from an Indian restaurant. Super rich, creamy, and perfectly cooked. We also ordered a few appetizers to share and every single one was really good, even though I completely forgot the names of what we got. For drinks, I ordered a non-alcoholic lassi and it was SO good and refreshing with the food. One thing I do wish is that the tables were a little bigger. We had 4 people and once all the appetizers, drinks, water glasses, water pitcher, and main dishes came out, the table felt really crowded and there was barely enough space for everything. It made dinner feel a little cramped at times. Other than that, everything came out fresh, flavorful, and comforting without feeling overly heavy. Definitely a spot I’d come back to and would absolutely recommend if you’re in the area.

It is a more limited menu, so you won't find all the usual selection of dishes and meats. There is a good happy hour menu daily 4-6 pm at the bar. Derrick our server was wonderful in giving us descriptions of many of the dishes. There is no bread with sauce or onions provided that you get elsewhere. We ordered the crispy calamari, not your standard Greek salad, lamb samosas, and duck leg bryiani. Crispy calamari was pretty greasy as it sat in a puddle of oil on the wax paper, heavily batter, with a mayo base dipping sauce. Calamari was a bit overcooked and rubbery, and flavor was our least liked dish. The salad had fresh greens, was well dressed and flavorful with pomegranate, beets and chickpeas. The lamb samosas are served w only the green cilantro mint sauce. I asked for the tamarind sauce which I feel compliments and offsets the gaminess of the lamb. They charged $4 for the sauce, which other restaurants provide free of charge. The duck bryiani was tender and flavorful...the meat falls right off the bone. My husband served the rice and duck and I was commenting that the bryiani lacked the usual flavors from the nuts and raisins as mine was plain rice, and slightly dry. Immediately after, I looked and realized the the one side of the dish has all the raisins and cashew nuts...very odd that it wasn't mixed into and throughout the entire dish. The raisins were darker and not as sweet as the raisins we've had with other dishes. It is served w a rich broth but we weren't sure how we were supposed to enjoy the dish. It was much more flavorful and palatable once we incorporated some of the broth raisins and nuts into the rice. Overall we did enjoy the meal, and look forward to returning to try more dishes.

I brought my mom here who was visiting from out of town. I had been here before for happy Hour but never dinner. We had an absolutely incredible experience at ELA Curry and Cocktails. The food was outrageous, the cocktails were amazing, and somehow the service was even better. Our server, Luka was phenomenal, knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely excited to help us understand the menu. He took time to walk us through each dish and explained how it was cooked, served and what each dish paired best with. Because of his guidance, we tried dishes we never would have ordered on our own, and every single one was a hit. The butter chicken was rich and comforting, the lamb neck biryani was next-level, and the tuna bhelpuri and pani puri were outrageously delicious. Luka explained the lamb was slow cooked for several hours and we were sold. We never would have tried these dishes without Luka’s detailed explanation. We also had the cocktail called flirting with fire from the HH menus and they were amazing. Not overpowering taste of mango but a little spice. The experience was so great and it makes it that much better when a server like Luka is so engaged and excited about the menu and he was so right about every dish! If you’re new to Indian cuisine or just want an amazing meal, trust Luka and trust this place. We’ll absolutely be back!!! 10/10

The food here is pretty authentic and served in good size portions. It is typically pretty busy, especially Saturday nights, so making a reservation might be helpful. Service is pretty good and the inside is nicely lit and decorated. I would recommend the Butter Chicken.
