The food was excellent and definitely the highlight of our visit. Every dish was flavorful, well-prepared, and arrived fresh. The restaurant itself also has a great atmosphere clean, comfortable, and inviting, making it a nice place to enjoy a meal. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food. Our server, seemed uninterested from the moment we sat down. When taking our order, she barely made eye contact and appeared distracted throughout the interaction. We often felt ignored and had difficulty getting her attention when needed. Even got our simple drink order incorrect. Overall, I would still recommend this restaurant because the food and atmosphere were outstanding. However, the service experience left much to be desired and prevented what could have been a truly exceptional dining experience.
Best Colombian restaurant I have ever been to. Love, love the food and juices. Breads are awesome as well. Price wise very good for the quantity served and best of all the texture and taste were on point. Will come back again next time I am in Boca.
I can’t believe how disappointing our experience was today. The waitress who took our order was not welcoming at all. She had a bad attitude and a standoffish expression the entire time, which made us feel uncomfortable. When we were ready to pay, she was in the bathroom for at least 15 minutes, leaving us waiting with no communication. To make matters worse, my husband ordered a side of chicharrón, and instead of getting the crispy meat, he was served mostly fat. We come to this Balcón location often, especially for the lunch special, and we’ve always had good experiences. That’s why this visit was so disappointing. Unfortunately, I don’t know the waitress’s name, but she was Colombian, had red hair, and fair skin. I hope management addresses this because the level of service we received was far below what we’ve come to expect.
We have dined in several times. The food is always very good. Typically it comes out quickly and it’s fresh. About a month ago we went on a Saturday when it wasn’t busy. The service was awful. The server took forever to take our order. She was just chit chatting with the rest of the staff. They brought our food out and she never came back. We had to get her attention for the bill and then that also took forever. Another great perk is sometimes they have live music.
What they advertise online and what I picked up are 2 totally different sandwiches.. disappointing. I wanted a pressed slab steak sandwich with potatoes string and what I got is chopped up steak on fluffy sub bread. I gave 3 stars because it does taste good but not what I wanted for lunch.
