My wife and I stopped by Cholo Soy Cocina to try the tacos after hearing good things. The tacos were definitely good and had nice flavors, and you can tell they focus on quality ingredients. We tried a few different ones and overall enjoyed them. That being said, the prices are pretty high for what you get. Once you order a few tacos each, the total adds up quickly. For the amount we spent, it felt like we could have gone to a full-service restaurant with table service and a nicer atmosphere. Don’t get me wrong, the food is good, but the value just didn’t quite match the price in our opinion. It’s worth trying once, but I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to come back.

every bite was absolutely brutal (in the best way possible)! Cholo Soy Cocina truly delivered. The tacos were next level—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The ceviche was just as impressive, refreshing with the perfect amount of citrus and spice. You can taste the quality in every single bite. Highly recommended if you’re craving bold, authentic flavors. Definitely a must-try!

Almost hidden right in from you on Dixie, this taco spot is a gem. Small, with a mom and pop feel, but trendy with a Mexican vibe. The food here was fresh, filling. We started with the chorizo queso dip, it came out rather quickly and was seasoned well, the chorizo meat was chunky, flavored and delicious. Served with home made tortilla chips. We ordered two shrimp bits tacos, two steak tacos, 1 chicken taco and 1 octopus and chorizo taco. Each taco was filled to the brime with what you can taste as quality ingredients. If you are a pickled onion person (which we are) this will be your spot. The only thing I could say, is i wish everything was hotter. Everything was just warm. BUT, I'm super picky on that way, and that will not stop me from coming back time and time again. Three seating inside is small, but they have a sizeable back yard with a bar. I had a margarita that was made just right.

Super cute place. But you must go to the counter to order. They will bring you your food. Taco and Margarita specials on Tuesday. Always some special. Cooked fresh in their kitchen. Real whole foods. Really gourmet flavor in a cute local spot. Most of the seating is outside. But the patio is decorated charmingly. Rare find!

Very cool taco spot! Friendly staff, awesome street food style menu that is very reasonably priced. We got the basket nachos, a chorizo taco and corn salad. It is counter service with a few small tables inside but we opted to sit outside on the porch. Tropical atmosphere with colorful murals and tables. Also has a bar with a DJ on the weekends.
