Lion and Eagle is as proper a pub atmosphere as you're going to get in South Florida and that is meant as compliment. The staff are super into the fact that it's a pub and insisted on being called "bar maids". I challenged Bernadette and Rebecca (the bar maids) to the single best bite of food from the kitchen and they both recommended the dry rub wings. The cook is doing God's work with that fryer because the wings were outstanding. If the owner sees this I want to recommend three things. 1.Switch out the Guinness tap with a boddington. It pours the same, tastes the same, and it's proper English beer. You can get Guinness everywhere else. 2.Fish nuggets instead of a giant fillet. 3.Have a chat with Bern and Reb about being called bar maids. It's a pub not a Renaissance festival, let it go ladies. Great staff, great kitchen, 9/10 would recommend.

Since Blue Anchor (Delray) was forced to closed thought we'd try the next nearest English Pub in Boca. First impression was small, a little dingy, and decor... just sad. Food was not bad although fish (fish n' chips) was overcooked. Full English breakfast was pretty decent. Wings wer excellent. Perfectly seasoned. Burgers.... average. Overall I would make the extra drive to Kings Head in Sunrise. Food better and definitely more atmosphere.

Great atmosphere to watch and authentic football game especially when you're inside cramped up and can't move anywhere. However there is no room to move around and there is no wait staff to help you it's almost impossible to get a drink anywhere I would suggest bringing your own drinks when you are going to watch a football game. And the food was non-existent

We stopped at this bar for a quick dinner on a Saturday. It is a very small pub (they only have 3-4 tables both inside and in the outdoor small patio), and it was almost empty, but I really loved it! It is a very unpretentious place, yet it has a true English pub’s vibe. They have a full bar and great beers. The menu is very limited but everything is cheap. I have never been a fan of Fish and Chips, but after reading several positive reviews about the ones made here, I decided to give it a try: they are so good indeed! If that wouldn’t be enough: since the portion was huge, I brought home almost half of it to eat for lunch the following day. The leftovers re-heated in the oven tasted even better than the day before! The bartender was great, and also the few people there (you could tell they were regulars) were very welcoming. I also like the fact that the place is dog friendly. If you like European soccer: they show A LOT of matches (I understand they even open the pub at 6am, if needed!). I hope to be able to go one day to watch one, but I will go certainly back for more Fish and Chips anyways!

Simply the best English pub in Florida and likely the whole USA. Perfect place for all sports, great food, drinks and service. Love it here.
